Intel i5 2500k cheap build help

Thread Starter
I've been doing some research on current cpus and have decided on the i5 2500k because of its value, price, gaming, and oc'ing values. On the board side, I've been leaning closer to the Z68 instead of the P67 for future upgrades such as ssd booting and overclocking. The board I've been leaning towards is the ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3. 1. It looks awesome, it supports SLI and crossfire (which I plan on doing later) has true sata 3 and usb 3, and from the reviews I've found, ASRock seams to have less issues than ASUS, and even Gigabyte (even tho I like Gigabyte boards).
I found the board on newegg for about $200.
Heres my issue..
Money.

I am wanting the best pc I can put together, but cannot afford everything at once.
I will probably use onboard video until I can afford a good gpu, and a ssd will come later.
I need some advice on where to find a setup similar to this:

CPU - Intel i5 2500k
Mobo - ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
RAM - (prefer to start with at least 6gb)
HD - minimum 500 GB, 32mb cache

I understand the cpu and motherboard are going to be the most expensive part, but they seem like a good start and offer good upgrade abilities.

I'll also be needing a case and psu.

If anyone can help me find a barebones kit, or combo, I would appreciate it.
Obviously the hardest part is finding the cpu/mobo combo.

Newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157264 (mobo $199)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2_TS-_-1_34___ (cpu with BR Burner special, $219)

Should I just buy them individually? or can someone help me find this combo...
Any help woiuld be appreciate guys. Thanks in advance

If you want to save some more money, you can get P67 Extreme4 for $160
The difference is it supports on-board graphics or not. And some different UEFI since there is graphics option.
You are obviously buying a dedicated GPU, so you don't really need that internal graphics processing unit.

I don't think he would like a microATX board.

I did find this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...679762-_-Combo
But it uses the P67 chipset instead of the Z68 chipset which the OP preferred.

By the way, what is wrong with micro ATX motherboards?
The one i use works well and keeps my cpu stable at 4GHz.

I appreciate all of your feedback guys. Im really wanting that ASRock z68 combo tho. And I dont think I want to go micro tax. I do plan on buying dual gpus later and ill be needing the extra slots. and I do need the Z68 over the p67 bcuz I plan on utilizing the ssd boot caching, and I dont have the cash for a gfx card so I'll be using on onboard gfx for the time being. If anyone can find:
CPU - Intel i5 2500k
Mobo - ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
RAM - (prefer to start with at least 6gb)
HD - minimum 500 GB, 32mb cache

You'll be my hero

well..i dunno..the asrock doesn't let ya play with the bclck or "fsb" quite as much as the asus..then there's the funny"boot loop" if you go over 4.4-4.5...wd blacks are good umm i got 8 gb sticks of team RAM here:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...b&x=0&y=0..p.s. i think the asrock needs some bios work..cuz when i go over 4.7-5.0 ..i can't rely on the comp to boot right away..sometimes does 15 boots

That RAM is overpriced at MC. Newegg has it for $55. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104231
