Valve's online juggernaut and EA's own upstart service Origin are having some problems of late. Problems continuing through to this week, with Dragon Age IIâ€”previously available on Steamâ€”now being withdrawn from sale.
The bone of contention seems to be Dragon Age II's new piece of downloadable content, Legacy, which is only available as an in-game purchase, and not from Steam's shopfront. Which is a violation of Steam's terms of service. So a game that was previously quite happy being sold on Valve's store is suddenly yanked.
We all knew it would come to this, but still...
