MLAA was invented by Intel. I guess they are a joke now?

I said lighter alternative. I never said MLAA was better. SSAA has its own problems of graphical bugs depending upon the engine. MLAA adds AA to polygons, transparent textures, and shader textures just like SSAA. SSAA is too resource intensive for newer games.

Calm down and relax.
If I enable MLAA in CCC, do I have to change anything in the Crysis or any other games (e.g. AA?)

Thanks

You do not have to change any settings, but MSAA + MLAA running at once is going to have a huge performance impact. MLAA is a post process filter so it can be run on top.

[H]ard|OCP has a good explanation of MLAA including image quality and performance compared against MSAA and SSAA.

I just went from 11.7 to .8 and noticed a 3 degree idle temp drop...havent checked performance numbers yet though. Found it interesting the incorporation of amd overdrive into CCC now, I have no need to mess with it since my clocks are already configured, but may be good for some.

So...anyone have update on performance in Crysis 2?

The built-in MLAA of The Witcher 2 doesn't ruin the text. Clearly these AA techniques work better when fine tuned by the developer.

Also, if I do get the install package failure (which is apparently irrelevant) and then I go to the Microsoft website, get the current version of c++2010, launch the exe, click "repair" and make sure my computer is up do date, I can click the exe for ati drivers and STILL get that failure when trying to install. Is everyone getting it, just because ati messed that up, or its just a few of us?
Oh no, there isn't any direct link to c++ 2010 redist that I see with driver sweeper. But, ANY time I see this issue, it is RIGHT AFTER someone did a driver sweeper clean and tried to install the newer drivers... so, I blame them

Also, I think I'll just wait for the final release. Hopefully, there is more than just a 10% Crysis 2 perf. increase in that :/.

Yeah, 3 fps increase at Ultra settings really ain't lighting my world on fire. Better than just saying "working as intended" though.

Use Windows Install Clean Up to remove it and then install the drivers.
