This generation Hiper 580w Type R?

Thread Starter
If anyone remembers, around 2006-2008 Hiper was a very good brand which produced very stable PSU's and good looking modular plugs. I still have my 580W Type R working with my PC, but I'm thinking of buying a new one. Does anyone know if there is a brand which offers the same kind of aesthetics and performance available in the market?

Hiper were pretty middle of the road. You can get an Antec True Power New 650w which is semi-modular and costs the same as those units did. And it performs better.

Sometimes Super Flower units come with modular cables like that. Super Flower manufactures all units for Kingwin and Sentey I think, and some for Rosewill and others, and they sell under their own brand in certain parts of the world.

Units based off the Golden Green (80 plus gold) / Golden King (80 plus platinum) platform range from very good to excellent. Some of the other units are decent too.

I'm pretty sure it won't be available where you live, but check the Rosewill Lightning out (Golden Green). Minus the LEDs, that's the kind of modular connector you were looking for, right? I believe one of the Kingwin units has modular connectors like that too.

I'm probably forgetting more.
