Asus P67 Won't Post

Thread Starter
Hi guys my Asus P8P67 WS Revolution will not post. It will turn on for about a second or 2 and then turn off. I just got this board brand new today and the rest of my components are only 4 months old.

Specs:
i5 2500k
8GB (2 x 4) Corsair Vengeance
Asus P8P67 WS Revolution
HD 6970 CFX
Corsair HX850W

Here are the things I have tried:
Clear CMOS (Using Jumper)
Remove CMOS Battery for about 20 mins
Hard Reset
Spamming the power button
Each stick of RAM in each slot individually
Minimal build on a piece of cardboard outside of my case

I have had no luck with any of the above solutions. I do not have a spare PSU to test it with. At this stage I am out of ideas and could really use your help. Is there anything I haven't done? And which part would you suspect to be at fault?

- slot both ram modules into A2 and B2. make sure it's in properly.

Have you tried it powering the rig without using any of your sata ports?

EDIT: Does it do an infinite boot loop but doesn't show post screen? have you tried pressing the Mem OK! button with the RAMs in the coloured slots??

I would definitely try the mem ok button. Turn the PC off and then use the mem ok button to turn the pc on.

I did the MemOK! button earlier and I don't have anything else other than RAM, CPU and GPU connected. I do have all the power cables connected. No I do not have an infinite boot loop. It just powers on for a second and then off. I have reseated the CPU and yes my CPU's HSF is plugged in.

take it out of the case and run it on a cardboard box to see if it's a grounding issue.

Hmmm, that's odd. Could just be a bad board, might have to exchange it for another. Could be your CPU or RAM too, unless you've tested them.

Well I had a B2 Asus P8P67 Pro which I exchanged for a refund and got this P8P67 WS Revolution. What's annoying is I only RMA'd the B2 P8P67 Pro because I thought it was broke. Sadly I have no way of testing my RAM or CPU. Looks like I am back to square 1.
