570 crashing

Thread Starter
Just got a EVGA 570 and it keeps crashing in games. Crysis, BFBC2 and oblivion, and 3dmark vantage. It keeps saying the drivers have stopped and recovered. I originally had the newest drivers the 275.33 and I went down to 263.09 right now. The card is not overclocked, all stock. Anything I can do?

Well you have already tried a different driver. What temps are you getting? Shouldn't be overheating at stock but worth a check. The automatic fan profile can be pretty awful. I see you have a haf 932 so case temps should not be an issue.

You could try upping the voltage a little (one increment at a time) to see if you can get it stable. I would create a create a custom fan profile first though. If this cures it then I would be returning the card for RMA as you should not have to do this for a new card straight out of the box.

Well thats strange, I thought That only happened with ATi Cards. RMA the Card and Order a New one, When it happened to me with my 5850 I RMA'd it and when a New one came, the problem Was no more.

I also recommend maybe adding a little voltage at a time to see if it's stable as per Jokah, or you can just RMA it, EVGA is really good, but i HATE having to RMA stuff

I guess I'll try the voltage and if that doesn't work I'll RMA. What would be the limit for voltage? I don't want to go too high just for stock. Also temps are good. Its idle temp is 38 right now and I haven't seen it go higher than like 75 on load.

Try the latest beta driver. Solved my issue completely.

Any time my gpu's would go under load I would get a freeze, reboot. Tried the latest beta driver and now all is well.

the most stable driver that everyone has found is the 266.58, try running that and trouble shoot with that driver.

Tired the 275.50 drivers, increasing the voltage a little and even downclocked the card. At lower speeds it lasted longer but still crashes on heavy load. I think I have to RMA it.

Ok. So I did some stuff and have been I was able to play BFBC2 for about 30 min no problem, I currently have a EVGA OC scanner running and its been going for about an hour now, no problem. I think i just have some software problems. The card has been running great so I'm going to re-install some programs and see what happens. The card is at stock still. No voltage increase.
