All right, thanks for all the help, I think I'm set on everything except the PSU, my options are the XFX 750W XXX, the Corsiar HX 750W, or the top end AX 750/Seasonic X750
Which of these options do you think is the best marriage of high quality/performance and value
Thanks

I have a pretty similar system. It runs everything amazingly well. No bottlenecks. I'm tempted to get a second GTX 570, but I think it would be overkill. Good build!!

XFX 750 XXX - Cheapest, strong performance

Corsair HX - Only a little bit more expensive then XXX for a little more reliability (don't get me wrong the XXX is excellent as well but I'd prefer a Corsair PSU)

AX 750 - Don't think you need the full modular high end performance. If you plan to SLI/CF in the future and you're worried about PSU power, I would rather go with a 850/950 HX then spend extra on a AX. HX are really reliable as it is.

I say go for the HX750w. With your build you could even get away with a HX650w. They can run a single 580 with OC core no problem.

Good build, any of the psu's you mentioned would work great, can't go wrong. I'm building something similar tomorrow, cannot wait!

Thread Starter

The HX750 has free shipping and a $20 rebate on amazon

It's more efficient (as a side note does anyone know why corsair only lists it as silver while 80+ lists it as gold) and I'd rather have corsair customer support.
I'll be ordering latter today, then I'll build in about ten days, when I return from a trip. I'll update this thread when I start building.

Thanks for all the help; the OCN community is great.

Hello again,
I'm sorry I have updated for a while but I've just been caught up in setting up my PC. I did the build yesterday and everything seems to be performing perfectly. I haven't overclocked anything yet, and I've only run a few benchmarks. Thanks for all the help, the OCN community is really great.
