Can i ask, do any or have any of you guys used the auto OC? The quick simple OC in the windows or UEFI? I must of you guys look for the manual OC, but for me i would just like to know if anyone as used this feature on the i5 or i7 and can tell me how it performs.

But i think you have this 1?

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-m...mhz-1408-cores

Just noticed, on the Z68 picture is says the RAM will run at such-a-speed as default, if i bought this ram..

8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet 1600MHz

Be just fine running at 1600 out of the box, should need no OC as its not an OC speed. Only thing i need to do really is timings?

As for GFX, Will the 6950 OC be well or would i be best going for say the MSI 1280MB GeForce GTX570 OC? Its about £40 more than the same Twin Frozr iii model.

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1280m...shader-1540mhz

am leaning more to the 6950 though, only see about 5 fps difference in benchmarks and that to me doesn't justify paying £40, specially when the OC 6950 could be OCed to get the extra 5 or so FPS lol. I read now though, that there's a "lock" with these cards? You have to unlock the bios or something to up the shaders, don't think i will do this at all lol, can i use the CCC to do a little OC boost like i did with my 4890 or do i HAVE to do this unlock in order to get the little OC?
I think most of the new 6950's have the extra shader cores laser cut, meaning you can't unlock them. I haven't tried on mine yet.

Cheers mate, am not to bothered btw about OCing the card, if its already a OC edition anyhow.

Anyone think i should get the GTX570 instead? I have even looked at the GTX560TI which, by specs seems faster than the 570 but doesn't have as many cores?

something like this..http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-e...vi-i-mini-hdmi or will this be a bottleneck for the I5 at about 4GHz?
