Hello, today I have notice a low fast clicking noise. It seem it's coming from my PSU. When I turn off my computer the low clicking sound slowly disappear. So I think the problem is the psu fan.

What should I do?

How long after shutting off does the noise last? My PSU has a clicky fan and I'll be getting it RMA'd

That's a very common issue with XFX 650W PSUs. I suggest you RMA it if the noise bothers you a lot. I have the same PSU and still ok no clicking sound so far. Yup, it's the PSU fan causing that clicking sound.

That's a shame. I got this psu for a pretty good price new ( 77$ ). The noise don't bother me at all. But it's dangerous to ignore this? Is my psu fan dying?.

Yeah I've heard lots of complains about XFX psu having clicking sound. It's not dangerous at all as long as still spinning to cool down the PSU main unit, but the clicking sound might get louder and louder as time goes by.

id just change it if it were me...i modify all my psu's by removing unneeded wiring and add a better fan ,make 1 modular...yea it kills the warranty but i change psu's bout every 2 years or so...never had a failure...i buy top quality units though...
just a thought if your so inclined....can be dangerous tho if you go touching things so read up on how to do it...fan is a piece of cake...or rma it but youll be down a week or so....

I think I will wait. I have a 5 years warranty and for now the noise do not bother me. And anyway, maybe in a couple of months I will make the switch for modular psu .

Thanks all
