Radiator question.

Thread Starter
I've searched but it gets mixed with 240 rads.

Scenario: will be moving to fractal design r3 from antec 300, BUT fractal has substantial spacing between the 2 intake fans, my 240radiator will not work.

Question: Will two separate 120 rads linked together work similarly as a single 240mm rad? And what kind of fittings should I use? I'm thinking rotary 45* and have the front top rad's fittings northend and front bottom rad's fittings south, keeping tubes longer to provide less kink while using the 45* fittings.

Is this making sense to anyone? Please let me know what you think. Like my antec 300, I will be remove the 3.5" HDD trays, and I decided on the r3 because I don't want an internal optic drive. I'm painting my evercool 2x5.25" to 3x3.5" HDD cooler white and having that instead. So the case having only 2x 5.25" bays plays out perfectly. I have external dvdwriters anyways, I mean... I only use it for OS and rarely driver installs.

You have to account that 2 120 rads take up a bit more space than a single 240 because of the placement of the fittings. You might could take a measurement and see if a 280 might work. Rotary fittings seem like a good idea. Also take a look at PrimoChill antikink coil. That'll help you bend tubing too. The key is to look at the measurements of the individual radiators and how it is distributed and do the same for your case. Plan ahead and for things to go wrong lol.
