Actually, this will only change the "surface" of the account like the login page, etc. The user folders will still have the original account name.
I ran into this at my work where all the old machines' admin accounts were named after the person that set them up. As he is no longer with the company, I have been changing the admin account names to the company name as I upgrade the machines. Unfortunately, the document folders still have his name on them.
It really isn't a problem for me so I haven't taken the time to fix this, but I did look into it, and it seems that the only way to fix all the folders is to set up another admin user account, transfer the contents of the folders over, then delete the old account.
One note: The machines I am referring to are running XP Pro. However, searching for the same issue in Win 7 seems to bring the same solutions. YMMV...
