possibly bricked my phone

i had rooted my phone yesterday then tried to install darkys rom on it with odin this had been my first time at it anyway it didnt seem to work or do anything at all so i decided to go with a diffrent rom but when i turned off my phone which was in download mode i couldent get it to switch back on ive tried pulling the battery ,etc but it dosent work it is also getting hot at the top (not the battery) ive also asked on the XDA fourms i have a SgsII (the uk version)

edit: i think i downloaded a old/incompatable version of darkys i think the version i tried to flash was for the galaxy s1

So, the phone doesn't turn on at all? Tried another battery? Tried turning it on plugged in?

You may have to try the download mode jig, 3k ohm resistors across the two micro usb pins closest to the headphone jack.

im gonna have to go down to a hardware store and get some. I assume i can load another rom onto it from there?

You also don't need to solder if you put the resistors together and then just tape them so you aren't touching the metal and just touch it to the pins you'll be fine. You will need the micro usb connector stripped down there's no way to get the resistors across the pins without a connector.

If you can take the time it's worth your while to buy the premade one. They are hard to make and usually more expensive as well.

possibly fried the flash rom inside your phone. happened to me 4 days ago. no fix. not even the resistor "fix". i tried it all.
