Best 100 dollar headphones? (music)

My friend is in need of some good headphones, and ocn is my first place to look!biggrin.gif

He's look for soemthing with good bass, and great sound quality. IT will be for his pc and ipod.. He doesn't have a dedicated sound card.. So please don't talk about those as hsi computer was prebuilt and stuff, but he's just looking for kickass headphones.

90-110 dollars is ideal.. I looked at teh Shure srh440 though, it looks pretty good. Are they good headphones? I know shure is a great brand... and it's only like 80 dollars on amazon. So he can save somke cash too.

Well, if he likes bass the Audio Technica ATH-M50s are a really nice set of cans for the price.

I got them at soundprofessionals.com for 110$ before shipping.

If he's going to be using them with his iPod as well, I assume he'll be carrying it outside as well.

Go with something simple yet practical, and yet something that's a great bang-for-the-buck. I recommend:

1.) Koss KSC75
2.) Koss PortaPro
3.) Yuin PK3

The best headphones are the ones that sound the best to you. Not everyone enjoys the same sound.
