Honestly thats what I thought about the crosshair. I want one really bad... and for a board like that, which is made for enthusiast, why wouldn't you want to tinker with your new toy? But I think a lot of the problems come from people who just haven't explored all thier options and post immediately to OCN when something isn't plug and play....

I was not happy with my Crosshair V when I got it installed. Try as I might the Intel Lan adapter didn't/doesn't work so I had to buy a PCI Lan card.

I've read many problems with it myself, but seriously, Im no expert. I just hooked up all my connections and hit the power buttom, did a bios OC and was set.

Although at first my boot time took FOREVER and somehow it ironed itself out....

Have you considered a full custom water loop?

I built my sig rig for just under 2000$. I think you can do better at finding a deal.

The RAM's Cas Latency and Timings are good... That's why I chose it.
The 1200 watts is also for future upgrades as well.
Being smart has it's advantages too, put the $2200 in the bank and set the budget to 1k. You can build a serious 2600k rig + gtx580 for 1k...I believe.

Edit: I still think you could build a bulldozer system for $1k. $300 cpu, $300 for gtx580, $100, psu, $100 ram, etc.

Are you multi-monitor gaming or something?

Disregard...lol, multimonitor..........you need more graphics cards!
