I haven't heard these but they have plenty of good reviews:

Now I'm sure you could pick up some good Hi-Fi headphones and stick a cheap Zalman mic on there and get a good experience but that almost feels like cheating.

What about those Logitech G930s? Wireless, looks good, not overly flashy, comfortable, comes with the mic, expensive enough to know it won't sound crappy but not prohibitively expensive. I think I would read through the reviews and make a decision on them if I were you.
I agree, very good head phones. I use them for gaming and movies. Very comfortable and has 7.1 surround sound. I'd definitely crab them from newegg for the price they are at now. I bought mine when it was $159.00.

If it's for gaming? Logitech G35
If you a music head, then probably something else.

Dont get that headset. If you want some bass with your headphones you might wanna check out Ultrasone's DJ1/HFI-580. I just bought them after several recommendations and research.

Since there is a bunch of people recomending logitech and fatality headsets I better just post this to get some quick education.

HORRIBLE
GAMING
HEADSETS

Hey, it seems you have started a thread asking for help buying headsets so you can talk to your guild while you play WoW. This is a helpful guide to bluntly state some of the finer points.

Let me get this out of the way quickly, straight up NEVER BUY A HEADSET. You may be asking, "Why?!" since virtually every uneducated fool has one. Well good thing I'm here, so I can teach you up.

Headsets are inherently a horrible idea because they combine piss poor headphones with a piss poor microphone and cost significantly more then they would cost separately, and I stress the significant part, its a joke. Not only do you get worse quality for the price, but because you are combining garbage parts with cheap wiring they are much more likely to break, and when they do, are harder to fix.

What you do want: A set of good headphones (depends on your budget), and a cheap desk mic. Personally, and many others on this forum will support this, I have the ATH AD700's. Great set of all around phones, perfect for listening to music and playing video games. They got decent bump, nothing that will blow you away, but their sound stage is incredible. They are open air though, so they do have some leakage.

Surround Sound... Since you have asked for headset help, it is also very likely that one of your criteria is that the headset you get recommended be Surround Sound because you think that will improve your piss poor kdr. First things first, you suck, accept that you are terrible at FPS games and move on. nothing will help that, no matter how much money you throw at it, I will always whoop that ass. But secondly, while the fact that it won't make you better is irrelevant, what is relevant is that fact that actual surround sound in headphones (putting multiple poor speakers, all less then a half an inch from your ear) is only a gimmick, and a poor one at that. Not just a "oh it costs a lost and isn't that good" kind of gimmick. It actually adds NOTHING to your experience, gives you surrond sound that can be less accurate then virtual surround sound with 2.0 headphones, and gives you significantly worse sound quality for the price, since you have very cheap drivers (there are 7 of them), and a cheap brand

If you still aren't convinced...lol go buy a razer or fatality or something, and everytime you pick up those pieces of garbage I hope you are reminded of my post and your asinine decision.

Good choice OP with the 700's by the way.

I think you over-generalized and frankly far too austere. Yes, most headsets are weak but they are not all garbage. And I've heard crappy headsets, okay headsets, and excellent headsets. I also own several pairs of high-end studio monitoring headphones.

Seriously, get a grip. Everytime I pick up my headset that I bought 2 years ago for $45 and still is in perfect quality and wear it without my ears sweating from some faux leather material and hear the great seperation, I laugh because they were so cheap.

They still last me, they sound nearly as good as my AUDIOTECHNICA ATH-M50 and they are more comfortable. Plus no dangly little Zalman mic cord wrapped around another cord. I'm just sayin, they aren't all bad out there. You have to do your RESEARCH.

That's one of the most delusional statements I've ever heard.
