I'm also wondering about this.. Almost all of the UK's broadband infrastructure is managed by OpenReach which is part of BT. Do you think this 'order' applies to all OpenReach infrastructure or just BT controlled lines?
BT is a terrible company in my opinion. I've had their fibre service for 5 months before it randomly cut off, it took 3 days of being on the phone with them for 3-4 hours at a time before they could even figure out why. For the first 2 days they tried to tell me I never even HAD a fibre connection, rofl. It took them 21 days from cut off to getting service again to fix it, including 3 delays.
At the same time as this was happening we had just moved offices where they pulled more bullcrap. Long story short, placed order on June 03, promised completion by the 13that the latest, and it was completed on June 29. Our staff would have been out of work for that duration if a neighbour hadn't of let us piggy back their wireless.
At this point I'm just waiting for Virgin to get off their arses and expand their fibre service to my town.
