Need deciding between 2 computers

Thread Starter
Hi, im buying my friend a new PC, looking for premades because of the warranty etc.

So these are the PC-s:

#1 [Cheaper(509€):
CPU: Intel Core i3 2100 3.1GHz Sandy Bridge
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz
MOBO: Intel PH67
GPU: ATI HD6770 1GB
HDD: 1TB 32MB SATA
PSU: 400W
Case: Xigmatek Asgard

#2 (more expesive, 529€ )
CPU: Intel i3 550 3,2GHz
mobo: MSI P55-GD85
GPU: XFX HD5850 1GB
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
HDD: 1TB Hitachi
CASE: Cooler Master Elite 334
PSU: 520w Seasonic.

Is the extra 20€ worth it for 5850 and 100mhz? Dno if 5850 is better than 6770.

No overclocking, friend only plays wow and some light gaming.

Thanks

Well,

If it's for light gaming i'd go with the 5850. The 6770 would be a better choice if he was planning on xfire because of the scaling. You'll still get a nice 4.5Ghz OC on the old neahlem processor. So option 2 for me. Also, you're not overclocking apparently, so no point with sandy.

Is your friend SURE that he doesn't want to build his own rig? Cause he'll save money that way....

I'd definitely go with option 1. Since you're not considering overclocking, you don't have to worry about that locked-down Intel board or the possibly-bad PSU much. Better CPU where WoW is more CPU-intesive than GPU, and that 6770 should still be able to play WoW on high settings (I play WoW on High with my HD5550!).

You could probably have made this a poll with only one option: Rig #1.

WoW since cata was released uses a lot of your GPU as well now. Expecially when you go to ultra settings and enable DX11

But how much difference is there between 5850 and 6770?

apparently the extra cores on the 5850 give it a nice boost
