GTX 580 Issues

Thread Starter
Lately I've been quite disappointed after seeing results of my GTX 580, it scores very fair in 3DMark and even higher than average without overclock, but it just feels like something's wrong there.

One thing for example, The Witcher 2:
No matter what I change with the settings, anti-aliasing is always goofy as if there's just a lack of polygons, and when staring at Garelt I started noticing weird skin textures.

Settings:

Everything is set to the max besides shadows and UberStamping, easily achieving 60 FPS!! ...But.
In-game screenshot:

Notice the red circle, something looks weird there in the textures, I'm not sure if it's like that in the Witcher 2. Anti-aliasing barely took effect and it just put me down.

I thought to myself, it could be that Witcher 2 is just getting too much fame of graphics for no reason, until I attempted Crysis.
I've checked the settings, again I put everything on Ultra High including Shadows and it run pretty smoothly, but there comes the same problem. Anti-aliasing was just not there, the trees made me puke and it didn't look beautiful at all. I've went back to the settings. "Oh, it's on 8x, I guess I forgot to change it to 16x-"
It was not there. The last option was 8x.

Last thing I attempted was Team Fortress 2, it was beautiful and ran everything on fixed 60fps, not a single problem, everything was smooth, both anti-aliasing and filtering mode kicked in.

Am I expecting too much, or this is really a problem? Because I've seen a GTX 570 doing so much better.

Well the Witcher 2 I heard is quite buggy when it comes to graphical glitches etc.

Crysis has rubbish AA most of the time.

I think that your card is working fine, but rather you aren't testing it with the best games. Have you tried using latest drivers, too?

Geralts face in your screenshot looks 100x better than the faces when I'm playing with 580 SLI.

Almost the whole face has those subtle graphical issues that you circled in red. I got over it.

This is with ubersampling on too. Just doesn't look that great. I love the story though.
