Am I correct in believing that this is probably fake? From the picture that was supplied, it appears to have two graphics cards, yet he only lists a single 6970 in the ad. The fact that this rig would cost grossly more than $900 and he could sell it for a lot more than that on this Craigslist (Phenom II Quads go for $1k+) leads me to believe that this is either a fake and a scam, or that it's stolen.

What does the rest of OCN think about this?
Nah it ain't fake, it's actually a reasonable deal @ $900...just make sure it's actually a 975 in there and not an overclocked chip (not that a 975 is any better, it will just have better resale value)...if you hesitated though the system is probably gone.

He probably was hard up for cash and while the system may have been worth $1100, he was willing to go lower for a fast sale...see it all the time actually and I've snagged many such deals off of kijiji..

eh, the grammar and the way the parts are listed makes it look fishy. i'd go look at it and see if its fake or not. make sure it boots if all the parts are there.

so what? Bring an entourage or 2 to take a look at it, if it's what he says it is then you got a good effing deal

FYI: He says $900 in the actual post, but says $1 in the title. That's a red flag to me, he's wanting more attention. He also has terrible grammar, another HUGE red flag.

Don't touch.
