2 or 3 color Sleeveing?

Thread Starter
Hey i plan on starting to sleeve my PSU cables this weekend With Paracord.

Just wondering if I should use 2 or 3 colors? I have seen many rigs with 2 and it looks awsome, would 3 colors be overkill?

Also what colors would you suggest? (Sig rig) Was thinking olive green & brown or olive green & black... so hard to decide.

"Millitary theam" type case.

Cheers

I think 3 will be a bit overkill and you might forget the pattern it goes in. Especially if its very close colors you really might mess up. I prefer the max of 2.

I think 3 would be fine. If the main color is black, and the other two are used to fill in. Just as long as the colors dont clash, you'll be fine.

I agree - if you mess up the pattern it might look a bit odd. I would go with two colors, but three could look great.

2 colors is usually the rule of thumb.

Not sure where your going to find olive green, frozencpu has a forest green, do that and black? or you can do gold and black for desert storm effect if you get this board

I think a green, brown and black scheme could look awesome on a camo-style build.

He has a Sabertooth, which is probably part of the reason for the desire for a military color scheme. You can find paracord in several camouflage shades of green.

I would do 3 if you go with millitary style and you know what you are doing as you say - 1 main and 2 less used - Black as main, green and brown as sub-colors.
If not - 2 colors.

Think this is the plan, I'll try 3 color just becouse I have yet to see it done... also if i dont like it its not hard to swap out the third color.

Any sort of set pattern peeps are using for the layout? Or whatever floats your boat?

I would say for a camo theme you want to avoid any sort of set pattern - ain't that the point?
