Need recommendations for a new WiFi NIC

Thread Starter
Title. I'm currently using a Linksys AE1000 (USB) with my desktop and it's meh, and quite frankly I haven't been impressed with it. I've decided to upgrade to a better NIC instead. However, despite hours of googling, I can't seem to find one that meets all of my requirements. Bad reviews, flaky support, flaky performance, $150+, etc. Soooo I thought I'd ask you guys.

Requirements:
  • Must be an internal NIC with a PCIe or PCI interface, not an external USB adapter
  • Must support dual-band N
  • Must work well in both Windows 7 and Linux 64-bit (out-of-the-box Linux support would be awesome)
  • Must not be extremely expensive (the most I'm willing to spend is about $80USD, or maybe a little more if it's exceptionally awesome)
Additional notes:
  • My computers are all upstairs and the router is downstairs, so the cheapest and simplest solution, running a wired ethernet connection, is impossible in my case.
  • I'm in the US.

If anyone owns a WiFi NIC like this that they've had excellent luck with, I'd love to hear from you, and any and all recommendations are welcome. Thanks in advance

Get one of the Intel wireless network cards. Never had any issues with them and drivers are decent, too.
