Little help with QX9650 and Gigabyte G41-ES2L

I picked up a QX9650 cheap, and put it in my HTPC, running the mATX board above.

I'm running ram at 1:1. It's rated at 800mhz but only running at 667. Stock volts and timings.

I thought the unlocked multi of this chip would be perfect with the FSB limitation of the G41 chipset.

The VID of this chip is 1.25, and I can get it stable at 3.4ghz at stock voltage (343fsb x 10 multi).

But I cannot get any stability at 3.6ghz (333 x 11) or above.

When running Prime 95 (small fft) Workers 2 & 4 stop immediately.

I've tried the voltages all the way up to 1.4, no luck

It just doesn't make sense that the chip does so well on stock volts, then just 200mhz more and it's unstable.

FWIW... I can easily boot into windows at 4ghz.

Try 1.5v - G41's are terrible clockers, I had a couple die on me trying to push them much over rated speeds, I would recommend getting a P35/45 board if you want to do some decent overclocking with it.

Is there a P45 mATX board?
