The G15 is actually quite a bit more expensive than the BlackWidow Ultimate.

Its all about how many lcds your setup has. Lets see those mechanical boys watch porn vids on their keyboards while waiting for games to load! Booyaka! G19 the keyboard for true champions. Enjoy your cherry switches, I'll enjoy another kind of cherry.

Personally I thought the ultimate was a rip off, which is why I just bought the normal version.

I paid for an open box version which was an additional 10 or 15$ off, I love it. When I go back to logitech G15 it feels like I'm typing on a piece of cardboard.

You know what I did after a week of owning the Razer Blackwidow? I returned it. A month passed and I once again had a Blackwidow. Give it a week to sink in and use it extensively. Put it aside for a day or two and use the rubber dome. You'll learn to appreciate the quality and feel of the mechanical switch once you've had a taste of what it's like to not have one.

Honestly, you did actually get one of the worst mechanical keyboards on the market though. Trade it in, and grab some recommendations from us for some better ones.

Filco, Das, Ducky are much better brands and make much better products. You can grab the Das for 100 bux if you send in a picture of your student ID. Even if you are not a student, grab an image off of the internet of a student ID and photoshop your name in.

I agree with all the people who say they can't type on rubber domes anymore. Whenever I'm not typing on my keyboard it feels like crap, give it a try and you will never look back.

I also get about 90-100 words per minute on this board, on rubber domes I find myself making more mistakes.

Not to mention the advantage to gaming of having nkro (blackwidow doesn't have this, most mechanicals do), faster response times, and faster acuation (increased double tap speed).

The quality of the switch itself is more or less the same though right?

I am a student so I will certainly try to take advantage of that, thank you.

Something that I just noticed:
When I can't hear the key clicks (headphones on and music on) the keyboard feels...not as good. When I can hear the clicks it feels really tactile and nice.

So lol. That's interesting.

I challenge anyone reading this thread with a mechanical keyboard to put some noise canceling headphones on or make it so that you can't hear the clicks of your keyboard at all, and see if it feels the same.
