Also some Cherry keyboards have MX browns, particularly in the MX8000 series (G80-8200, G80-8113, etc.) but they can be hard to find. Also some discontinued and vintage boards.
Cool thank you.

Certain keys on my keyboard make a spring-like sound after the key is depressed. Is it supposed to do that? (m, space, and left shift)

I have the BWU. I loved it instantly after using my microsoft 5000 keyboard and mouse for a year. Yeah it is alot of money tbh but who cares lol.

As for the spring like sound you mentioned, im not sure...maybe wear and tear thing?

Love your quote in your sig btw

How loud is it? Does it occur after you let go of the key or while you are pressing it down?

Spring-like sounds (commonly referred to as 'pinging') are inherent in all mechanical keyboards because, well, that's how they work. However, if certain keys on your keyboard are obnoxiously loud then that is an actual problem.

A pinging Filco? Expect the Ripster cover-up squad to appear at any second.

Now I make more mistakes on the rubber dome and fly on the mechanical.

But if it isn't worth it to you - it isn't worth it.
What mechanical keyboard do you have?

I am using a rubber dome, and I do exactly that ^, I type really hard because I can't really feel anything. Just don't know what mechanical keyboard to get I have looked into it on the site but all the different types of keys is just daunting and it puts me off buying one!

Link me something, and I'll buy it - I've got a bit more money this month!

The springing noise occurs after I let go. On my other keys I cannot hear it but I can hear it on those three "problematic" keys.

If you hold the key down, pause, then let go it makes a ping?

I thought the normal ping problem was caused by the plate or something, as that one guy sprayed foam everywhere to fix it.

I bought a vanilla bw a few months ago on sale and I also had the same problem (still occasionally now) of hitting the caps lock key instead of "A" when I'm typing intermittently (i.e. playing a game and typing occasionally). I think that's due to the general squashed design of this keyboard to accommodate the macro keys. Though I do use the macro keys, I would have preferred larger/better spaced keys, sacrificing the macro keys.

Yes that is correct.

It pings upon release.
