We're still recovering from the last ice age is why. Global warming is just accelerating the recovery.

Shouldn't this blanket the internet also?

TL;DR: just because you're given the freedom to say whatever you want doesn't mean that you should, that it's even remotely correct, or that others should follow along.

In other words; be smart news consumers - modulate your skepticism, do heaps of research, develop your own views, argue & modify accordingly.

We gained interest in global warming after it was becoming controlled. The "hole" in the ozone is now more or less just a wore down patch that's healing. Blah blah blah..... idiots don't care. : )

Global warming has very little to do with any hole in the ozone layer. Blah blah blah indeed. You settled the issue by not having any idea what it's even about, and the "idiots don't care" if they haven't figured out what you've figured out. Well played.

Comments mirroring that one are amazingly common in that exact form.

"developing countries are trying to destroy us with their massive political clout! Quick, turn on all the lights and fire up the hummers, we must show them our might!"

I'm staying away from this thread after this, but;

You've got to be kidding me.. That's like saying "why do you buy anything when nearly everything is made on 3rd world wages????"... One person running around naked or without technology changes nothing. That kind of stuff takes large movements to influence the state and peoples' minds.

I'm really glad stars don't last forever.

When the next ice age comes, I hope someone will develop a plan to counter-act it. Not ignore it and say "it's natural, let it happen".

I do agree that buying/selling carbon credits appears to be "scam-like". Instead of spending time and on money on trading carbon credits, let's spend it on something more useful such as creating and actually using alternate energy sources.

Majin, I think you've said enough about your character and world view that no extra comment is needed from me. People can judge your credibility and intentions for themselves.
