Solar panels actually pay themselves off after about 10 yrs and last for 20-30. The problem with them is the up-front costs.
And personally if I'm gonna buy something spendy to lessen my impact on the grid I'll get a wind turbine and mount it to the house. At least it's more economically viable and up where I'm at there is no shortage of wind which is 24/7 unlike Solar.
Still people can waive facts around all they want, it's all open to interpretation. We know that the earth is changing its axis. Not that it will spin along the E/W poles but that it's been steadily tilting over toward the opposite way. Something like taking a bicycle wheel holding the axle between two hands and having a friend spin it. It's not going to remain balanced in a fixed position.
Nobody said Man doesn't have any part in this. Only that man is not the cause of Global warming. Many "Environmentalists" often misstate that we're causing all the weather problems. If we were like our counterparts back during the beginnings of the Industrial revolution? I'd say most likely this is true. This was back when anything and everything was dumped into sewers(sometimes the middle of crowded streets in bustling Metropolises like New York and London) which took everything and dumped it into the ocean or nowhere at all. But people started cleaning that act up when they realized that it was insane to do such things causing all kinds of medical backlash to the populace. I'm not going to get into the specifics cause I could write a book on this without getting to the point I'm trying to make.
Which is that man cannot stop evolution, control global weather patterns, interfere with positional pole changes or anything that would have happened even without man. We can be nicer to our environment because we have to live in it. And while I do give SOME credence to the GW issue, that is a very small amount. Oil bubbles up all over the world without Man even tapping into it. I would even say that because of Man we have less of it bubbling up today than we did a hundred years ago. Well until they botched a tap in the Gulf anyway. But that stuff happens w/o man ever being involved as well.
