I think he was referencing the fact that plants use CO2 to create O2.

There is no global warming

The reason the ice caps are melting is because we are heading into another ice age. This is normal if you look at the history of the Earth.

It's not even the issue of CO2, it's the issue of having too much. Oxygen can be detrimental at higher concentrations. The growth of carbon dioxide in the air not only saturates our breathable air, but also absorbs infrared radiation leading to an increase in ambient air temperatures.

Rick Harrison will obviously have a friend who is an expert on this matter.

It's already been proven that global temperature changes can be dramatic and sudden.

Sorry your godless religion has been debunked yet again...

So god causes global warming and cooling cycles?

Enough about religion.

"Global Warming" as you see it on the media is a farce and a scam. The earth's cooling and warming periods are natural.

HOWEVER

This is the first time (as far as we know) that man has had such a large population and advanced technology, and the of polluting the air (NOT with carbon) has so far caused damage to the ozone layer.

Carbon only comes into the equation when you start accounting for all the deforestation - that is the real problem. The earth will eventually deal with all the carbon, but we need to start replacing all the trees that get cut down. A lot of the Amazon jungle where a fair amount of oxygen is produced is being cut down every day.

The real killer of humankind will be our own destruction of ecosystem that will lead to collapse of food production and ravaging of land, rendering it unusable for crops.

As for "global warming" - I was under the impression that ice caps come and go, melt and refreeze, over many thousands of years. Of course we seem to be helping it along, but is mostly natural. I really don't think global warming will end up destroying the human species. But us crapping on our own home (so to speak) will.

And then there's the earth's rotation. The poles shift after a very long amount of time. The earth does not spin perfectly and is not perfectly round either!

But we all know this isn't the last word. Not to mention a decade's worth of data might not be enough to be conclusive for either argument. When we've had satellite data for 1000 years we can talk about our observance of humanity's impact.

Are we doing damage? sure
Are we responsible for planetary changes that have been going on for hundreds of millions of years? probably not

So why don't we just work to reduce the damage without freaking out about it and dumping money into what has become more of a political positioning point than an actual effort of civilization?

The temperature and climate changes. Period. Solar cycles and volcanic activity, which are rarely mentioned, are major contributors to climate change. If you think humanity has any significant role in the process, you're just an idiot.

You would have a better chance of trying to convince me that peeing in a river will turn it yellow or flushing your toilet will make the sea level rise.
