Yes it is more expensive,but its more powerfull clock for clock and you would not buy new motherboard or RAM..wink.gif

Otherwise if you have enough money go for 2500K + P67 (or Z68) motherboard + 4GB of DDR3..

"well when you are a multitasker 8gb is an absolute must or your are going to run out of memory if you are folding,rendering 3d model and gaming at the same time,but if you are only gaming 4gb should suffice for most games coming out soon but the speed is a huge factor" that is what i posted on your other thread

Yes..

I have 4GB and I never turn off Mozilla (with at least 4 -5 tabs opened) while I game..

Never had problems as my Win 7 Ultimate 64 (~ 70 processes running) + Mozilla takes up ~ 1.4GB..

Yes..

You would not notice any difference in gaming between dual and single channel especially on a Sandy Bridge platform..

honestly you probably would,my mate had to rma his 6gb triple channel ram (he has 1366) so i lent him my spare 4gb dual channel kit and man his computer hated it.

I vote keep everything but the duel core and grab a used q9550, they are quicker then an AMD X4 especially at 4Gb +
