Ok. I may make a new thread in a different section later, since I think I will have my friend and I both overclock our CPUs together.

Best Price/Performance you can buy. Unless you are spending $70-$80 on a noctua/silver arrow/archon buy a 212+.

massive bottleneck, and its only going to get worse as games like battlefield 3 come out

sell one of your 6950,

go to newegg, they are selling gigabyte ud3 p67 for 110 dollars right now, get a sandy bridge, amd cpu suck, and will continue to suck until bulldozer is released, even then, they will still be behind intel for gaming

I do not know a whole lot about AMD processors, but I know my i-5 was a bottle neck until 3.6 Ghz. After that, GPU usage was close to 100% for most benchmarks. So, you may not need 4 Ghz. If you objective is get past the 'bottleneck', get to a safe overclock from 3.5 to 4.0 range. Then check for bottleneck by running a benchmark. If your GPU usage are 95%+ you are golden IMO.

You'll bottleneck but in no way will it make your games unplayable. Just overclock your CPU to around 3.8 to 4ghz, get your NB relatively high 2600mhz+. People act like sandybridge is godly and bash AMD constantly. Kinda pathetic.

There are c3 x4 925s an ocing is not much diff than a 1055t. Having ddr3-1333 may hold u back from 4ghz though.

I'm not sure how much of a bottleneck there will be. I was already playing Bad Company 2 with maxed settings @ 2048x1152 with no problems. I got a second card to Crossfire so I won't need a new card for a while. I would prefer to not get a new mobo or CPU anytime soon either.

The main reason I ask about a bottleneck is that Crossfire may be wasted a bit until I get a better CPU.

As far as Sandybriges, that's a lot of extra money to get a new CPU and mobo. Also, why bother with a Sandybridge if I won't use the integrated graphics?
