5.25 system info screen?

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a screen I can put in a preferably single 5.25 drive bay so I can display my system info. If I cannot buy a part as a whole I have no problem with modding. But if anyone knows of someone that has done this before it would be a huge help smile.gif

There are not many single 5.25 bay drive devices for system info display and I can only come up with AlphaCool LCD Display.

It occupies a single drive bay and comes with its own software to display system info. This product was released a few years ago and is fading away from the market. Currently selling at a greatly reduced price of US$50 from Performance-PCs.

Though its software is not updated, I read an user reporting that he has no problem with Win7 64-bit with driver version 1.0.4.48.
And it comes in black or silver.

windfire probably posted all that there is
i did some research on this a year ago and what windfire posted is most likely your best bet
you can however fit a 5"(wide) color lcd in 2 5.25 bays, but i guess that is out of the question

Well I'm not actually placing it in bays I'm attaching it to the side of my case. But I've been looking at the dual bay alphacool LCD display and that one looks quite promising.

There are 2 single 5.25 bay devices that might also suit your need:-
Matrix Orbital GX Typhoon (US$100) and the new Orbital (US$115). Quite expensive alternatives.

How exactly are you going to attach it to the side panel? (I am curious)
