srsly bro...don't build their wan gateway from random stuff you have lying around. This is why people think they can ship our jobs to india and get better service.

Bump and a random thought.

Would a dual-core atom have enough power for 10 clients? I realize the atom's are effectively P4's (with debate on certain lines of atom's being better or worse by ~10%), but would the D510 (2 cores, 4 threads) be enough for this relatively low-intensity box? Can't beat the power draw on these guys.

hey TurboTurtle,

I just thought i would throw my untangle config in here to show you what it CAN run on.

This!

279 is nothing and it's pretty much exactly what i'm running for my untangle box. Dual nic's built right in. If you were looking for a low cost solution, this is it. It can handle more than 10 users at once, I'm only using at most 5% of the cpu power to have ALL the applications running while using the internet + Kapersky antivirus.

if you want to know more, just pm me sometime biggrin.gif it works great imo and is cheap and low power.
