12-24 hours of Prime95 should give you a pretty good idea. It depends how sure you want to be. Personally, I haven't even tested my rig since installing my new RAM. If I had, probably a couple hours would have been more than sufficient for me.

Yeah I use a mix of intel burn test and prime95. Not at the same time of course. They seem to work good together because one always seems to find an instability that the other missed. I don't personally do super long stress testing though. I think you can get away with much shorter testing.

Can you tell me what to set the IBT settings to test stability? Or just use default.

Again, all I want is to be able to play StarCraft 2 at max settings, I also want to OC my GPU which I know how to do I just don't k ow what settings to set to.

I just use the normal test with 7 tests. Other people most likely do more.
