Rig Build 2011 WOOHOO!!! RAID, Case Labs, Extreme Proc, ESXi build coming up!!!!

Been waiting for the parts for about 2 weeks and they finally arrived! Totally pumped. Shout out to the people who gave some insight while I have been posting... havent been around to much since my last build in 2005 but I'm here now to post and share with the community .

This will be an ongoing process, going to take alot of pictures so feel free to follow, provide insight if you have any ideas, and just root me on if you want LOL!

The main plan for this build is to run ESXi (VMware for those that dont know) and host multiple machines, while dual booting to just a Windows 7 configuration for gaming with Battlefield 3, Starcraft 2, and whatever else I feel like playing with.

The break down of the hardware and basic configuration:

- ASUS Rampage III Black Edition Mother Board
- Intel Extreme Core i7 990x Processor
- 2x EVGA GTX 580s in SLI
- 24GB Corsair Dominator GT ram (PC2000)
- LSI MegaRAID 9265-8i RAID controller for RAID
- 4x Intel 510 120GB SSDs for the RAID 0
- 4x Western Digital 1.0TB drives in RAID 0+1 for storage and possible VM hosting.
- Silverstar 1500w PSU
- LG Blu-Ray burner with Lightscribe
- 8x Noctua NF-P12 case fans
- Noctua NH-D14 CPU Heatsink
- Kaze Q-8 fan controller
- 2x Red Neon lights
- Case Labs T10 case with additional flex bays and front USB port option

Thats it!! Here are some pics of the parts strewn all about my basement.

I'm going to start the build tomorrow. Totally pumped!!! Been saving for a long time for this, and maxed my Credit Card LOL (0% APR for 6 months, I should be ok ) Should be a good time. I'm really excited to dive in right now but I just am to tired to get going on this thing at the moment. Tomorrow I'm heading in.

Thanks again to anyone who provided advice and insight into the purchasing of the parts for this build! Keep your eyes peeled for an update tomorrow night.

They arent the prettiest I know... but I'm going to rock them how they are. People "in the know" will see them and realize what brand they are, plus I like the different look of them sorta lol.

Yeaaaa... I always call them Silverstone for some reason lol.
