Help with IBM Eserver SCSI hard drive driver

Thread Starter
Its a eserver x series hard drive by IBM. 73.4gb 10,000 rpm.
IBM fru: 06p5760
p/n - 08k0373

And its for a IBM eserver

Machine type: 8676
model: 11x
Serial No.: KP-BDZF3
Product id: 867611x

Ive never had any experience installing a SCSI hard drive. I have even tried on the server yet because i know once i install a OS it will ask for the driver.
I searched google and could find a hd driver for this thing. I plan to put windows xp 32 bit on it.

So once i get a driver i should be able to burn it on a cd and load the driver to windows in the setup and it should work... right?

+ rep big time for any help.

I don't think you need a driver for your hard drive. What you'll want is a driver for your SCSI controller, and it may be built into the OS.

What if its not? Where would i download a driver for the controller?

The LSI Logic, Inc. Integrated 53C1020; Ultra320 SCSI Controller is the controller that comes with the 8676-82X IBM eServer xSeries 335. Can you confirm this is what you have in your server? If you can get the model of the SCSI controller, you will be able to pin-point a driver for it. ( With Windows XP 32Bit, you will need a driver for it (I'm 99.864% sure rolleyes.gif )
