Probably going to try and sell it or try to get another card to crossfire with it if I can't find a soltution. Thanks for the help man!
This really looks like a flash disabled card, regardless of whether you have a bios switch or not.

That switch setting 1 was dead when you bought it should have been a big warning sign, with flashing red lights!

Those things aside you can try the gum mod. It's basically hard wiring the bios chip to enable flashing.

*Another thing regarding Powercolor. They are very inconsistent. Sometimes PC is full of awesome sauce like the initial release of the PCS++ 6950 cards. And other times like a few weeks later, the PCS++ 6950's failed to unlock which belied their advertisement that they were guaranteed to unlock. PC is all over the map on consistency.

Well i got it second hand, and I assumed it didnt work on switch one, but i just flipped it to switch 2 and never looked back, so was no big deal.

Also was working perfectly before the 11.8 drivers so not too sure what happened. I can't see me trying that gum flash, it works perfectly fine just doesn't show when starting up so I will keep it and maybe get a second one at some stage to run in crossfire should sort the problem.

Thanks for the advice
