Am I "mostly" stable? - Page 3

Geez, Prime95 acolytes are all over this board it seems. 12 hours of stress testing with Prime may indeed uncover an error with your OC, but your everyday computing will probably be fine with 30 passes of IBT. Just depends if you need that 12+ hour confirmation...

And theres the twist... if you need it.

If you fold for example, you had best be darn sure your clocks are stable. You dont want to risk loosing 6-12 hrs of cpu crunching because your clocks where wonky

Well my conclusion. Gaming and using crappy 3d prgorams is the best tester Besides you can do a thermal test as well. Otherwise I think it's best if you just use every stability tester for awhile haha. Otherwise, I THINK I'M STABLE. I think TF2 crashing is just the game.

I've been gaming for several hours now just fine dood. With a CPU OC AND a GPU OC. DDD

But yeah I was using Heaven mostly for GPU testing tho. Don't really need it as I have games but it's cool XD

Folding is my standard long term stress test. I usually do a 10-20 pass LinX to make sure it isn't crazy unstable then I'll fold over night or while at work. If it can do a day of folding, it is stable in my eyes. Good thing with folding is you can do whatever you want while "testing" without interfering with anything. So you won't be without your computer while testing. Of course, you can do this with Prime as well. It doesn't hurt to use the PC for normal everyday things while using Prime, but it will probably slow down some or most apps to a point.

Well I got no blue screens. So that means I'm theoretically stable And I've gamed without issues for quite a few hours soo leads me to believe I'm pretty good.

Then our work here is done

Happy gaming

I passed IBT on Maximum for 16 passes (40 minutes), as well as 1 hour of OCCT on Max, and BSOD'd the next day.

Just saying. I know its not a lot of testing and I'm not surprised, but there are plenty of people who will say 10 passes of IBT is enough for stability and I just don't think that's true.

WAIT GENIUS IDEA. What if you run all the stability tests AT THE SAME TIME. :O Revelation! That'll obviously break your CPU if it's unstable XD
