I don't think you can get a decent gaming machine with SB for under 1k. The 5870 mobile is still very powerful GPU.

Word of the day: refurbished.
You can get SB i7 GT555m laptops in the Dell outlet for under $900.

5870 mobile is much stronger than GT555M and that MSI is only 800, you can use the extra 200 to upgrade to 8GB and get a 120GB SSD.

Fixed. Without overclocking I'm breaking 12,000 in 3dMark06.

so it is 100 cheaper and and still slightly faster than your laptop and it is brand new not refurbished? 2 years MSI warranty vs 1 year Dell warranty? You know he is Canadian right?

What about this MSI? It has 1080p, GT 540M(I know its sort of worse), i7 2630QM, 8GB RAM, 640GB HDD, & USB 3.0.
