Low CPU PPD

Thread Starter
Ever since I switched over to the v7 client, I haven't been getting the PPD I should out of my CPU (sig rig). I set it up according to the guide here and my GPU is chugging away just fine. Currently, on project 7611, my TPF is 9 min 42 sec with an estimated 1169.79 PPD. Any ideas? I've tried deleting the SMP slot and re-setting it up multiple times. It's stable and not underclocked, using 100%, and I don't have any speed issues with any other apps/games and it was perfectly fine with the old client.

Negligible. I've paused the GPU client and let it get through a few frames and it doesn't change. In addition, previously, before I got my 560, I was folding on a 4870, and as we all know, the ATI client uses a fair portion of a core, so I was only running smp 3. It didn't change at all when I started running smp 4.

Hey Aroc, Im not sure why Im doing this, coz you have been on my 'six' for ever...

V7 *I think* does report lower PPD and its a known bug. If you have a GTX 560 Ti now (good choice!), why not switch over to GPU tracker V2. It managers CPU and GPU clients for you.

Its alot easy to setup. Ive been running it for ages and have had no problems with it.

I have no idea.

Unless he runs FAHmon in the background and sees if that reports a truer reflection of his PPD.

I got it up and running. I'll report back once it calculates PPD. Thanks.

It's working perfectly, reporting about 6.2K. I'd be worried if I were you, seeing as I got 28K yesterday. Thanks again.
