M3A79-T Deluxe & 1055T

Motherboard: ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe (790FX/750SB/DDR2)
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 125w

Just updated to the latest BIOS on this board (1801). I've set voltage for the CPU and CPU/NB to 1.325/1.175; but the BIOS and multiple software programs are reporting voltages differently.

Even with the BIOS set to 1.325 for the CPU, it reports in the BIOS (under the Hardware Reporting section) as 1.425v.

In Windows (currently installed with XP), CPU-Z reports anywhere from 1.3v to 1.4v; HWMonitor reports 1.31min and 1.42max; I installed AMD Overdrive to see what it reports and it reports correct voltage of target/current as 1.325/1.325 and correctly for CPU/NB 1.175/1.175.

Also, currently there is no option to turn off the 'Turbo Core' function in the BIOS, though if using AMD Overdrive you can.

My concerns are proper voltage reporting, which, if I need to I will track down the read points on the motherboard for manual digital testing - but - I've always been told to trust the BIOS before software. So is the BIOS reporting incorrectly (since it reports 1.425~ when manually set to 1.325)? Maybe the BIOS doesn't truly fully function with X6 processors even though it supports them?

Send me your opinions and feedback, please! Especially if you own this motherboard!

Use Pc Probe software from Asus.

That displays the correct voltage readouts for your board.

I had this board with a 965 in it and it overshoots the voltage with a hidden LLC that's not in the bios.

I idled @ 1.55v and loaded @ 1.6v on that chip.

Really? God I hope that's not true. I just don't understand why when setting the voltage manually, the BIOS never reports the manual voltage I plugged into it; instead it just always reads 1.42~. Of course, the only two chips that I've had in it are the 1055T and a X2 4450b.

Maybe I'll get motivated and swap my 955 with the 1055t.... I'm just a bit lazy to do all of that at the moment.
