I think its HILARIOUS how no one here has even come close to seeing how ANY computer handles a 64 player server with jets and helo's going on max settings with dx 10/11 enabled and yet apparently everyone knows so much on how what will run well.

Do the smart thing: WAIT TO UPGRADE.

I'm probably going to pick up another 560ti to run in SLI.

It's not like 64 people, jets and tanks are all going to be in view at one time so that's irrelevant. After finishing the buggy and unfinished alpha I was getting 45-60ish (high) but it was very unstable, of course. Sometimes it would run 50+ no problem sometimes it would slug for reasons unknown.

Having a ton of character models on screen at once had little to zero effect on the performance. And this is alpha. If you can run BC2 max, then be happy. The engine is not THAT different to be honest, where you would need to run out and buy new hardware. This is not Witcher 2.

People need to chill out and stop freaking over whether they can run it or not...

I've been worried whether my pc can run this at max for a few weeks now, I'll be destroyed if I can't... I built it just to play this game at max settings.

With this PC i can run Crysis on Very High, Full HD 1080p Res and 8x AA smoothly.
With maxed AA/AF - No..
If my little 460 can handle BC2 maxed except AA/AF @ 1080P with 60+ FPS 90%+ of the time then you shouldn't have any problems with BF3.
When I max AA/AF my FPS drops down to about 40-50.

Wait until release to decide if you want another card. You wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference between 1x AA/AF and 2,000x AA/AF while dodging bullets and rockets while fighting for your life anyways.
