New headset recommendations

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a new headset as in headphones with a mic attached.

No headphone+ zalman mic recommendations or posts please. (I've tried everything for the zalman mic to detect my voice- bought another one, installed a new sound card, twiddled with settings for hours, etc). I for one, am willing to sacrifice some sound quality in order to get a working, functional mic, since it is essential that I have one where others can hear me loud and clear.

I'm currently looking at either the Creative Tactic Sigma or Alpha Headsets. Any other recommendations? Budget is max ~$70. Must have standard 3.5mm jacks, and must also have a GOOD mic.

The Steel series 4H are great for gaming a simpler version of the Steelseries 5Hv2 but with same audio quality especially in games.

There are plenty of other mic options besides the Zalman that you can pair with headphones.. Especially at $70 you're really sacrificing pretty much all sound quality by going headset. The only ones I'd ever recommend to anyone are the Sennheiser and Beyer headsets, and those are way out of budget.

Now I'm pretty much just looking for anything with a boom mic. I really want to stay away from desktop mics (desk has limited space) and clip-on mics (for obvious reasons).

How good would these cans be? I know I said the budget would be $70 max, but I found a pretty good used deal for them.

Amazon.com: SteelSeries 7H Gaming Headset (Black): Electronics
If it's anything like the 5hv2 from steelseries a couple years back then the mic is horrible.

steel series fullsize headset sv2 but the mic not really good on it's league (kinda muddy)
(but comfort)

7more superior and better from sv2(dunno about the mic thou') but got great sounding on headset league...
and on my local distributor, said, the only cons is : the cable too thin(kinda easy to broke) (but it's changable isn' it ?)
