What case to choose - best compromise airflow/silence

Hello
Now I've HAF922 for over 2 years, but I want to change the case. I'm fed up with poor drive bays, weak cable management (too short motherboard tray) and maybe the industrial look.

I want the best ratio of noise/temperatures.

Cases taken under consideration are:

Silverstone PS06

Silverstone Raven 3

Corsair 600T

Corsair 650D

Fractal Design Arc

Fractal Design XL

NZXT Phantom

At this moment I think it's a battle between Design XL and 650D. Maybe there's a better choice? I want good airflow (not much worse than HAF), and silent work.
I have Asus GTX570 Direct CU II (which is silent), NH-D14 with 2 BeQuiet Silent Wings USC 14cm + one in case, Noiseblocker PL2 in case and of course 20cm ones by Coolermaster. All working at 5-6V.

Will you pls help?

P.S. HAF-X is not the one I desire now wink.gif

Thea's are all good cases so the noise/temperatures ratio comes down to the fans. Are you going to run stock fans or replace them? Also not all thous cases have a built in fan controller wit's has a big impact on noise.

I have had 3 of the cases you have listed.

Silverstone Raven 3

Corsair 650D

Fractal Design XL.

And the FDXL which i currently have is the quietest one of the bunch. its isolated with a rubber like mat on all the panels (weighs a ton) i ran all 3 of my 580s at 85% fan speed in all of them and found that the XL is the best noise wise. thermally it wasn't that great. so i water cooled everything smile.gif i cant hear the fans that are mounted on the radiotors at all. and they are at 100% all the time.

Corsair 800D is too expensive.

I'll be using AC still, not WC, so FDXL may not be the best choice, especially when CPU overclocked to 5GHz. Between Raven3 and 650D - which is quieter (Corsair?) or better in performance (Raven?) ?

@Bit Reaper -> if I can, I'd like to stick to stock fans, maybe connect them to my Zalman MFC-3 fan controller.

Important thing -> I have 4HDD + SSD, so in 650D I'd have to use both cages and place it on "floor" (I guess).

My experience with the 600T, cable managment, build quality, and case features are amazing. Cooling and Noise are the suck. I have had to do extensive case mods, cut every perferated grill out, sound dampening foam on the panels, and swap all the fans to get a decent noise/cooling ratio out of the case. It is near silent when idle adn olny slighty noisy when gaming @ 2feet away on desktop.

I bought a Silverstone FT02 (similar to RV3) after reading great reviews about cooling/noise raito. After transfering my rig into it, I was disapointed with the noise level.. although it was not loud it was also not as silent as reviews have pinned it. Cooling was exceptional. Wire managment was the suck. I returned the case as $250+ was a lot for a case with poor fit and finish and would need alot more $$$ to get where I would consider it "silent".

my 2cents

In "my" shop I see the sound dampening foam for 600T. What fans have you put in?

FT02 is similar to RV02-E, not RV03, as I've read (for example on bit-tech). In fact - I like the look of that Fortress2 case, but it's too expensive.

I replaced the rear 120mm, and the top 200mm with three Scyth slipstream 120's (I will swap to noctua's once the loacal shop has stock)

The front 200mm is stock at the moment (ok with front Perferating cut out), I tired a coolmaster 200mm but it was just as weak in sound/cfm (still huntng for something decent in the 200mm range I hear Antec Big boy is good).

All fans running off the stock fan contorller. Looking at adding a better fan contorller as the stock one on 600T is about 9-10v on min.

The case is dead quite when i set GPU fans to 20% in CCC, still need to make a custum fan profile in AB but I have been busy sleeving tongue.gif

Aaah, I've Noiseblocker PL2 for a change, also CM 200mm (LED ones), but as I can see - I can sell them. I'ld be also selling Be Quiet Silent Wings USC 140mm, as it won't fit in any of Corsair cases (600T,650D).
Additionally I have 2 fan controllers, so I won't have to use the included in case. As for graphic card - I've already set up my DCII to 10% in idle (it's about 1100rpm), in games it's about 25-30% (~1500rpm) - in idle it's almost dead quiet.
