i5 still beats Phenom II x6 unless you are doing stuff like video conversion, etc.

For general use and games a i5 will win.

Also, why the 650W PSU?
Your rig will draw nowhere near that even if you throw a GTX 470 at it...

Long post, sorry.

Well, if you OC the 2500K to about 4.5GHz, it's going to need about 150W to itself.
If you then leave 250W for a GPU and things like your motherboard, RAM, hard drives and stuff you should be able to use a 200W GPU with no hassle.

If you're upgrading soon you could get a 500W PSU like a CX500, it's not as good as the 650W one you linked but it would be enough for a 2500K and a high-end GPU.
If you're only thinking of upgrading and don't know when you'll have the money you might be better off getting a lower wattage PSU or keeping whatever you've currently got.

If what you've got is a decent 350W+ PSU it would power a 2500K and 5770 easily.

Honestly I'd get the Antec earthwatts 380W or a Corsair CX430 and if I needed more than that down the line I'd upgrade and either keep the other PSU for trouble-shooting or sell it.

well save the $$$ and do not get a cooler for the moment. use the tock cooler till you got the $$$ and then that will save you the 25 pounds and then you could also get a cheaper case.

hell i paid 16 pounds for my case from novatech ( http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...v-panther.html ). it is small cheap and has enough space to put big gpu's and has enough air cooling to keep you stuff cool

Cheaper, better mobo, better RAM, cheaper, better PSU which is more than enough anyway. Also a nicer, cheaper case, with better build quality.
