I need a new case to house my sig rig. I'm probably only going to be air cooling my system, so cases like the 650D that I've heard are geared towards WC are out.

I'm looking at the RV02-E and the HAF-x (which I find TERRIBLY ugly), but those are going to be too large for my dorm room. I'm also looking at the CM Storm Scout and the RV03, but from what I've heard it sounds like I'll be losing a lot of performance with those compared to the first 2.

Will I actually lose that much downgrading from the first 2 to one of the second 2? Is there a better alternative to those mid towers listed? I want to spend less than $150.

Noise is not a primary concern, but air cooling and looks definitely are. In addition, I would much rather a black case with a side window that doesn't look TOO gaudy (ie think Maingear Shift styling, not Alienware).

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: too hard to decide, so I made it a poll.

Should fit the bill perfectly. I can vouch for it's air cooling efficiency.

dude, with some plexi glass, silicone and a drill, (a jig and dremmel help a lot as well) you could build a freaking wind tunnel man.
and not just any wind tunnel, a completely sealed equal preasured wind tunnel (sealed with equal preasure will get you insane amounts of airflow).

you should give it a shot, it's not expensive and it can be a lot of fun building a case.
if you need any help i'd be glad to show you where to start and what you're going to need.

edit: there are different colors of plexi glass also. so if you wanted to hide wires or "ugly" sections in the case, you can use some cool colored stuff to cover it (black looks sick with white and a single window)

You'd be cutting it close.
The Mesh does extend pretty far down however, so you could likely fit a few 120mm fans.

EDIT: It's not black, but it has the sexiest side panel I've ever seen on a stock case.
