H100 Mounting

So I ordered my H100 and should be in soon for my Antec 1200 case and can finally overclock my CPU properly. I will be mounting this to the two 120mm rear exhaust fans. I decided to do a push/pull configuration with 4 fans total on this thing. My question is, should I be doing it by fresh air coming in, or as an exhaust air (as defaulted). I will use the stock tri-cool fans already mounted and will keep the fan speeds the same on all 4 fans for a proper push/pull configuration...
I know i'll test both methods as you all cannot give definitve answers yet, but wanted to see some input with other setups...

Also I have extra IC Diamond 7 Carat thermal compound laying around. Should I just apply this instead of the default one? Has anyone else used it with their H50-H80's?

if you have 3 or 4 fans at the front doing intake, i think it is preferable to do exhaust just to keep airflow going from front to back.

If you do it with the fresh air coming in you may experience better temps... I say try both and whichever gives the better/desired result do that one

Bringing in cooler ambient air should help remove heat better and provide better core temps.

In your drawing, I would use the top two 120's as your intake for your rad, then also intake the back 120's so all would blow out onto the motherboard; then exhaust through the 4 fans in the front.

It doesn't matter which direction you push the air with fans since the convection principles (hot up and cool down) don't apply so much when you have electric fans pushing around the air.

Of course, whichever works for best temps, then keep that one. Some of this will depend on how well the native case air flow is since if the case air flow is fantastic, it may make little difference whether you intake or exhaust the radiator fans; good luck

When I had my h70 I just noticed a 2-3 Deg C difference from intake and exhaust so to it all boils down to aesthetics mostly unless you personally think those 2-3C will help then go for intake
