HT question

Thread Starter
So I'm deciding on 2500k or if the 2600k is worth the extra 100$.. My goal is future proof gaming ( 3 to 5 years). Between those two HT seems to me the only difference, so here goes the my doubt:

Eventually games will demand 6 cores for high res gaming, I know for certain that 2500k would not be able to handle it, but how about 2600k? because of the 4/8 proccesors??

Grab the 2500k if you're only gaming there is no point in using HT there is no point spending an extra $100 more when you could get an SSD or a better GFX card with that extra $100.
