Asus Sabertooth 990fx wont power up - Page 4

I have ripped an old LAN card out of a Dell a while back. If you have one laying around that would work!

I am having almost the exact same problem with mine. Except mine won't power on in or out of the case. When I turn the switch off on the back of the power supply, the lights and fans connected to it will spin for a second and go off while the board makes a quick squeal. Is it possible that my power supply won't work good with this board?

Right now I have an older Asus AM2+ motherboard and a X2 3Ghz chip in it with my 750 watt power supply and it all works great. I cannot get the new board and chip to work at all. Tried a different Phenom 2 720 chip with one stick of ram even. Still nothing. I am about to send it back for a replacement but I see that getting a bad one of these boards is rare. Any ideas?

Nevermind guys, I seemed to have fixed it thanks to trying a different power supply. Not sure why a different PS works while my other system worked fine with the older PS. Oh well, at least it is working ok now.
