What I don't understand is why the ISPs offer lower prices + higher bandwidth to city dwellers? I mean they always say how population density is needed for those good price per Mb/s rate. Why is it that San Francisco, New York, LA, etc... don't see these same prices? It seems that since all of the USA cannot get and probably will never have the same population density as other nations like Korea and Japan that the internet prices and bandwidths will still suck.
Why not have a highspeed fiber pipelines between big large cities with pop. density and then have slower speeds for rural dwellers? Because, that picture with internet speed to cost is pathetic. We are like 8 or 10th on the list!!!
I really think it is the ISPs being to money hungry and lazy about upgrading.
