People where i live are forced to pay $70 a month at a 5gb cap at less than 1mbps speeds or get dial up.

I live about 20 minutes outside the capital city in ohio.

I pay 59.90 per month with Bell for 6mbps and Unlimited bandwidth usage. I also run a 15mbps cable line with teksavvy for $42.95 month with 300GB usage cap.

That's all well-and-good so long as you live near a city with fibre to the cabinet. Virgin Media created a way to send 50Mb/s down a copper line, but it never got any further than testing.
