Just wanted to know how nouveau got in there in the first place? Default 1st time video driver is VESA. No conflict there. I don't have a single item in blacklist because Slack only installs what I tell it to.
To be clear I am not trying to convince anyone to "go slack" (this time
) but I'd like people to at least understand that there are tradeoffs that add up to Slackware not being some rigid and difficult, especially unnecessarily
difficult, distro. There is a considerable payoff for the initial work and this is just one.
